This volume constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling, ER '98, held in Singapore, in November 1998.
The 32 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 95 submissions. The book is divided into chapters on conceptual modeling and design, user interface modeling, information retrieval on the Web, semantics and constraints, conceptual modeling tools, quality and reliability metrics, industrial experience in conceptual modeling, object-oriented database management systems, data warehousing, industrial case studies, object-oriented approaches.
