Dr Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar is presently the Head of the Reproductive Imaging of the Ultrasound Division in one of Indias pioneer and leading IVF centre located at Kolkata. She received her training in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound formally at Kings College Hospital, London, UK. She has been practicing transvaginal ultrasound since 1987 which includes invasive ultrasound. She has to her credit around 25 publications in national and international journals. She has attended many international conferences including several World Congresses and presented her research data at such meetings. As a member of organizing committee particularly Chairing Scientific Committee, she has taken a lead role to organize national and international scientific meetings in relation to Foeto Maternal Medicine and Ultrasound. The knowledge in pelvic ultrasound has increased tremendously over the last two decades. The books available are expensive and not always readily available to junior students.
