Ebook: Commercialization of Microfinance: Philippines

This report provides a framework for supporting the development of sustainable microfinance systems that provide diverse, high-quality services to traditionally underserved low-income or poor households and their microenterprises. In particular, the gradual commercialization of the Philippines's heterogeneous microfinance industry is explored, as well as the remaining challenges to sustainable microfinance in other nations, including insufficient understanding of the microfinancing process and slow movement toward commercialization.
