《汉语功能句法分析》从系统功能语言学角度对汉语进行句法描写，共由十一章组成，分别对小句、词组、字符串的成分和功能做了详细描述。总体说来，本书具有如下特色：一、结构清晰，循序渐进，有助于学习者逐步掌握功能句法分析的要领；二、例证丰富，图文并茂，有助于提高学习者的学习效果；三、练习同步，由易到难，可以让学习者现学现用，稳步提高句法分析水平。自20世纪70年代末引入系统功能语言学以来，我国功能语言学界对该理论进行了各方面的探讨，著述频出，但功能句法分析方面的书籍却寥寥无几。为此，我们特别推出了《英语功能句法分析》与《汉语功能句法分析》，帮助广大读者从英汉双路径的理论应用视角一窥句法分析门径，以期达到“英汉双路径，理论巧应用”之效。

"Functional Syntactic Analysis of Chinese" provides a syntactic description of the Chinese language from the perspective of Systemic Functional Linguistics. The book consists of eleven chapters, offering detailed descriptions of the components and functions of clauses, groups, and clusters. Overall, the book possesses the following features:

1. Clear and progressive structure, aiding learners in gradually mastering the essentials of functional syntactic analysis.
2. Abundant examples, accompanied by vivid illustrations, enhancing the effectiveness of learners' study.
3. Synchronized exercises, ranging from easy to difficult, enabling learners to apply what they learn immediately and steadily improve their proficiency in syntactic analysis.

Since the late 1970s, when Systemic Functional Linguistics was introduced in China, scholars in the field have explored various aspects of this theory, resulting in numerous publications. However, there has been a scarcity of books specifically dedicated to functional syntactic analysis. To address this gap, we have introduced both "Functional Syntactic Analysis of English" and "Functional Syntactic Analysis of Chinese." These books aim to assist readers in exploring the avenues of syntactic analysis from the theoretical application perspectives of both English and Chinese, hoping to achieve the goal of "a dual path of English and Chinese, skillful theoretical application" (“英汉双路径，理论巧应用”).
