Ebook: História e Filosofia da História em Michel Foucault

Michel Foucault created an intellectual work situated in a halfway between philosophy and history. This thesis was one of the first academic works to discuss this connection in Brazil. At first, we reconstruct the main plot of what would be the author's historical account of the present. Following with the study, we tipefy, compare and discuss the archeological and genealogical analysis he proposed in relation to the methods used by historians. Finally, we meditate about his philosophy of history and the practical and epistemological foundations of his project, arguing that his work is a sign of the very collapse of that discipline, the philosophy of history, because it suggests that from now on we can only tell "histories without reason" (to use the words of José Arthur Gianotti).
