Friedrich Schleiermacher (1768–1834) had a unique ability to enthrall his contemporaries from the pulpit. This volume of the Complete Critical Edition contains sermons for 106 dates from the years 1820 and 1821, including 60 sermons that were completely unknown until now. This volume thus sheds new light on Schleiermacher's peak creative period at Berlin’s Dreifaltigkeitskirche (Trinity Church).
