Because the scope of the book is a combination of scriptural insight and motivational material, it is not limited to prayer, but uses prayer as a means to motivate the spiritual soldier to advance and progress. When Paul wrote to the Ephesians, he not only knew the importance of putting on the full armor of God in order to stand against the adversary, but also the power of prayer to properly activate the armor. The army must be mobilized. Christians must identify the reason why we suffer from a churchy version of "All Dressed Up But No Where to Go." The primary focus of "Is the Church Armed But Not Dangerous?" is prayer, but the secondary theme comes through loud and clear. Productivity, advancement, excellence, growth and maturity will inspire the reader to successfully use the armor already provided.
