What role do materials and material processes, materiality and immateriality play in contemporary art? How are materials contextualized in spaces by artists and which apparatuses are employed for their exhibition? In a critical confrontation with these questions, this volume brings together essays from the perspectives of art, art pedagogy, aesthetics and art history.
