Ebook: Die Marburger Gelehrten-Gesellschaft: Universitas litterarum nach 1968

After the Philipps University was subdivided in 1968 into 20 separate departments, seven professors founded the Marburg Society of Scholars on 21 May 1968 with the aim of "promoting for the public good spoken and written scholarship beyond the boundaries of the departments at the University." The Society has regularly presented lectures with this aim in mind, some of them published for the first time in this volume.
