The anthology examines various aspects of theocracy to present a complex picture of the religious and social historical phenomena underlying the concept. The issue is considered principally based on Jewish and Christian sources. With respect to its historical importance, the authors focus particularly on theocratic aspects of 19^th century Russian religious philosophers.
