Ebook: Traducir la voz ficticia

In this study, the rendering of verbal expression in the translation of fictitious voices in literature is viewed in its entirety on the basis of original German and Spanish texts. Eight key works, including stories, novels, and plays from the last fifty years and their translations into other languages (English, French, Portuguese, Catalan, and Rumanian), have been examined in order to deduce the means of verbal expression and the chain of variation elements that evoke and simulate orality in written texts.

Traducir la voz ficticia retoma el debate sobre los problemas que causa la traducción del habla de los personajes en la ficción literaria, partiendo de textos escritos originariamente en alemán y en español. El estudio adopta la perspectiva holística que ofrece la traducción de la oralidad para aplicarla a ocho obras clave publicadas durante las cinco últimas décadas y sus traducciones al inglés, francés, portugués, catalán y rumano. Este enfoque permite establecer cuáles son los principales elementos lingüísticos que se utilizan para simular la oralidad en el texto escrito.
