Ebook: Rizici i šanse savremenih migracija

Još od prvih teorijskih generalizacija, migracije se povezuju sa širim geografskim, društvenim, ekonomskim, istorijskim, kulturnim i političkim kontekstom. Danas, mobilnost i migracije u velikoj meri postaju svezane i sa neverovatnim ubrzanjem i promenama u geopolitici, okruženju ili ekologiji, kao i tehnologiji. Za razliku od čuvene sintagme „doba migracija” (‘age of migration’), koja je opisivala intenziviranje mobilnosti s početka 21. veka, kada je masovni protok ljudi, roba, kapitala i informacija naglo uvećan u uslovima globalizacije, danas su u opticaju drugačije koncepcije: „doba ubrzanja” (‘age of accelerations’), „četvrta industrijska revolucija” (‘the fourth industrial revolution’) i „doba promena” (‘age of change’). Ove strateške transformacije utoliko nalažu da se savremeni tokovi migracija i mobilnosti razumeju kako u svetlu krupnih geopolitičkih događaja, tako i upliva klimatskih pitanja, ali i sve značajnijeg prodora digitalnih tehnologija u sve faze migracionih procesa. U knjizi Rizici i šanse savremenih migracija, autori upravo nastoje da ove aspekte migracija sagledaju kroz empirijsku analizu virtuelne umreženosti i socijalnog kapitala dijaspore, kao i nove aspekte klimatske mobilnosti.

Ever since the first theoretical generalizations were made, migration has been associated with a broader geographical, social, economic, historical, cultural and political context, and in particular the processes of transformation of the social and natural environment. Today, mobility and migration are becoming largely linked to an incredible acceleration and change in geopolitics, environment or ecology, as well as technology. Unlike the famous phrase "age of migration", which described the intensification of mobility at the beginning of the 21st century, when the mass flow of people, goods, capital and information was rapidly increased under the conditions of globalization, other conceptions circulate nowadays: "age of accelerations", "the fourth industrial revolution" and "age of change". These strategic transformations require that modern flows of migration and mobility be understood both in the light of major geopolitical events, as well as the influence of climate issues, but also the increasing penetration of digital technologies in all phases of migration processes. In the book Risks and Chances of Contemporary Migration, the authors seek to look at these aspects of migration through empirical analysis of the virtual networking and social capital of the diaspora, as well as new aspects of climate mobility.
