Accelerators as research and industrial tools are increasingly becoming a key driver of the advances of a modern society. Although not exhaustive, they are chosen to present accelerator physics as a diversified and exciting field and written based on the practicing and teaching experiences of the author accumulated over the past decades. The book is presented as an advanced textbook. The material on each topic has been intended to be self-contained. The reader is assumed to have a basic knowledge of accelerator physics to put the material in some context.
