Spanish Reader for Beginners is the first of more than eight Spanish Readers of the series Spanish Readers for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Students. This series of short stories in Spanish was created by CostaRica SpanishOnline, the first Online Spanish school in Costa Rica to provide independent learners with live One-On-One immersion Spanish courses via Skype.
This series of short stories in Spanish is focused on seven levels of Spanish: Beginner, Beginner II, Intermediate, Intermediate II, Intermediate & Advanced, Advanced I, Advanced II, and Advanced III.
Spanish Reader for Beginners targets Spanish Grammar level 1 within unique short stories with an unusual twist: each, written in Spanish spoken in Latin America, including current vocabulary you would like to learn when you begin to study Spanish as a Foreign Language.
Each story, written in the format of short paragraphs, each translated from Spanish to English, allows for instant vocabulary translation, thus presenting the reader a vast range of new vocabulary that is easy to learn.
I guarantee you will not feel overwhelmed by an array of structures included in higher levels of the Spanish language, for the purpose of this book is to keep you entertained as you begin to learn the language.
One thing to keep in mind, though, as you begin to read is that Spanish is "wordy". What in English can be said in two words, we may end up saying in a whole sentence. For the purpose of teaching you the way we speak, I have used a very literal form of translation to provide you with the exact meaning of each thought, although perhaps it won't make sense to you to say it in such a way.
In addition, I have included a few Grammar Structures of higher levels to provide you with a glimpse of what is yet to come; however, the main focus of this first book is on Grammar Structures used in Beginner Levels: Regular Verbs in the Present and PastTenses, Reflexive Verbs in the Present and Past Tenses, Direct Object and Indirect Object Pronouns, Prepositions, as well as a wide range of sentence connectors you will want to begin to use at a beginner level.
I truly hope you find Spanish Reader for Beginners useful as a learning tool. I know I have enjoyed taking on the challenge of making up a story as I take into consideration the elements of Grammar involved at each level of language learning.
