Jacqueline Kennedy, byname Jackie, was born on July 28, 1929, in Southampton, New York, U.S. and died on May 19, 1994, New York City. She was the American first lady from 1961-63, the wife of 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. She was considered as a global fashion icon during her husband's presidency. After John's death, she married Aristotle Onassis who was one of the richest men in the world.

As a first lady, Jackie was a role model and style icon for many socialites, fashionistas, socialites, and women of everyday life. Her popularity was more than the movie stars. She was idolized as a rock star and as an independent woman. After John Kennedy's death, the entire nation mourned with her.

Her life was not a fairy tale as presumed by many. Although, Jackie had her share of happiness, but her life was also filled with grief following the deaths of all important people in her life. This includes her father, John Vernou Bouvier III, her husband, John F. Kennedy, her brother-in-law, Robert F. Kennedy, her second husband, Aristotle Onassis, and her infant son.
