La cerámica ancestral de Chazuta con su
rica y espectacular iconografía constituye un
patrimonio cultural importante para nuestro
pueblo, la Región San Martín y el país. Con los
aportes del proyecto arqueológico “Rescate de
Urnas Funerarias”, los pobladores chazutinos
y de manera especial los integrantes de
la Asociación de Ceramistas Chazuta, nos
hemos enriquecido con el conocimiento de
nuestro patrimonio cultural local.

Chazuta’s ancestral pottery, with its spectacular
and rich iconography, is an important cultural
heritage for our people, but also for the region
San Martín and the country. Thanks to the
contributions of the archaeological project
“Rescue of Funerary Urns of Chazuta”, the
people of Chazuta, especially the members of
the Ceramicists’ Association, we have enriched
our understanding of local cultural heritage.
