Ebook: Uno de mujer es andariega: Palavras e circulaÇÕes de mulheres Uitoto (Huitoto) entre a selva e a cidade

Os Uitoto são um grupo indígena que tem como território tradicional a
região do Caquetá-Putumayo na Amazônia colombiana. Faz parte dos
grupos autodenominados Gente de Centro. Esta é uma etnografia sobre
experiências e narrativas biográficas de mulheres indígenas uitoto, no
contexto de mobilidade entre a selva e a cidade, estes entendidos como
habitats (espaços vitais) ou realidades em transformação, fluídas e
interconectadas.
A partir das experiências particulares das mulheres aborda-se a
mobilidade (espacial, temporal, social), as estratégias de articulação e as
reconfigurações nas relações de gênero. A abordagem privilegia as
experiências dos sujeitos sobre os grupos, dando uma importância
particular aos modelos que elas desenvolvem no ato de narrar, na sua
construção criativa do mundo e suas perspectivas sobre este, num
contexto dinâmico no tempo e no espaço.
Argumenta-se que “andar”, no sentido de viajar, abrir caminho, mas
também de lembrar, narrar e aconselhar, são formas pelas quais as
mulheres uitoto tecem territórios e relações, por meio dos quais colocam
em circulação pessoas, coisas, alimentos, palavras e memórias, para
assim enfrentar com habilidade os desafios num mundo atravessado pela
violência estrutural, pelas hierarquias e pela imposição de fronteiras
(territoriais, políticas, jurídicas, econômicas, étnicas, raciais). Desta
forma aponta-se a centralidade das mulheres, assim como o lugar dos
vínculos maternos, nos deslocamentos e na mobilidade, criando
continuidades e transformações e gerando novas articulações sociais
para os grupos da Gente de Centro.

The Uitoto are an indigenous group whose traditional territory is the
Caquetá-Putumayo region in the Colombian Amazon. It is part of the
groups known as People of the Center. This is an ethnography of
experiences and biographical narratives of indigenous Uitoto women, in
the context of jungle-city mobility, understood as habitats (vital spaces)
or changing, interconnected realities.
From these women’s particular experiences, the thesis approaches the
mobility (spatial, temporal, social), the strategies of articulation and the
reconfigurations of gender relations. The approach privileges the
subjects' experiences over the groups’ experiences, giving special
importance to the models these women develop in the act of narrating,
in their creative construction of the world and their perspectives on it, in
a dynamic context in time and space.
It is argued that "walking", in the sense of traveling, of opening path, but
also of remembering, of narrating and of advising, are ways in which
Uitoto women weave territories and relations, through which they put
into circulation people, things, words and memories, in order to face
challenges in a world crossed by structural violence, hierarchies and the
imposition of borders (territorial, political, legal, economic, ethnic,
racial). In this way the thesis points out the centrality of women, as well
as the place of the maternal bonds, the displacements and the mobility,
creating continuities and transformations and generating new social
articulations for the groups of People of the Center.
