A smaller edition of the "Grand Dictionnaire de Cuisine" (refer to page 441), omitting all the introductory articles except "Encore un Mot au Public," here called "Un Mot au Public," and occupying pp. i. to iii. The dictionary proper is considerably curtailed, and so is the list of "Menus" which follows, these last occupying pp. 809 to 819. The body of the dictionary, arranged alphabetically, comprises pp. 1 to 808.

Another edition, possibly of the above, has been advertised as "Dictionnaire de Cuisine, par Alexandre Dumas Père, revu et complété par J. Vuillemot, élève de Carème, ancien cuisinier; 1 fort volume in 18mo., cartonné."
