Ebook: La nutria marina en el sur del Perú

The book is a compilation of research results on the conservation of the South american marine otter (Lontra felina) in Peru, mainly in the Peruvian southern coast. The marine otter is the most endangered species of marine mammal in Peru. This species is menaced mainly by the artisanal fisheries and the habitat fragmentation. The study was carried out in sites well known as densely inhabited colonies such as Morro Sama, Punta Coles, Punta Atico and Mollendo. Another issue is that the marine otter is not a target species in marine protected areas at Peru. In the book, tThe author make recomendations to improve effective conservation of this otter in Peru.
