Shining Path, the Peruvian Revolution
Blood and Guts in Peruvian Hell
This book describes my adventure in Peru in 1977. It began as a normal archaeological undertaking and soon involved me in the action of the just beginning Peruvian civil war. As time went on I partnered in a limited way with international drug trafficker Jose Gonzalo Rodriguez-Gacha who was, according to Forbes, one of the world's then richest men.
Early on I met with some of the principal rebels involved in that conflict. Along the way, shortly thereafter, I got involved with one of the world's most beautiful women, initially rescuing her from lowlife cops at Lima International Airport, by getting myself into a gundown with the secret police scumbags trying to grab her. Angelique Andolini Suarez was at that time one of South America's richest young women and certainly one of the most beautiful I had ever seen. Together, thereafter, she and I escaped to the highlands of the Peruvian Central Andes. There at her family's palatial estate we found her still living father crucified on a cross in the hacienda chapel. Incoming to our rescue this time was the aforementioned Colombian international billionaire drug trafficker Jose Gonzalo Rodriguez-Gacha.
This is not a book for the faint of heart, so if "Indiana Jones" movies are too much action and adventure for you, you will certainly not want to read this. -And for that matter there is a lot of sex in this book so if X rated books and films offend you this will not be for you either. As a matter of interest, the upshot of all this involvement of mine I speak of, occurred while George Lucas was writing Raiders of the Lost Ark (and when his hero was called "Indiana Smith"*), and would come not too long afterwards. That upshot being the subject matter of the next two books in this series (Rivers of Blood and High Finance South American Style) - namely my arrest, imprisonment and escape from South America's worst prison, in the Lurigancho Barrio in Lima, Peru. As I say this is the subject of other books yet to come which are even more violent and bloody than this one, so the previous warning remains in effect.
*My wife who was back in the States had a cousin who was an important Hollywood producer at this time and I know he used to talk to his colleagues about my archaeological adventures. Lucas later said he changed the name from Indiana Smith to Indiana Jones because Smith was too common a name.
By the time this experience concluded I had learned more in a few months about the real world than in the rest of my previous life put together. In this presentation I explain how and why the sudden exposure to Third World state-sponsored mass murder, police torture chambers, extreme poverty of the masses, the involvement of foreign imperialism and its USAID, CIA and DEA instrumentalities, as well as the way individuals respond to all of this, changed my life. It also gave me an entirely new appreciation for the work done by the Old Bolsheviks led by Joseph Stalin. Accordingly I deepened my search for the foundations of human sociocultural evolution. This field anthropological experience allowed me to complete my theoretical work and to produce another Amazon.com publication entitled The ABC's of Communism, Bolshevism 2012, available in e-book form at Kindle Books at Amazon stores in six different countries and on the internet.
