I am not yet done reading this book. So for now I have to give it 3 stars. But the reason I'm posting this is because I really was shocked at p.13. On that page they are telling you to initialize variables with "" and there is no mention of initializing them with string.empty which is just best practice!
Even Microsoft tells you right here, that you should be using string.empty. I guess I do not understand how 3 authors who claim to be experts in C# can miss something to fundamental and it's something that a good amount of developers know out there.
That's all for now. I can't comment on the rest but I will come back here and give a full review. I just wanted to put that out there for now...kinda scary to be reading a book where they can't even tell you how to set string defaults correctly.
