Ebook: Lucene in Action

Good for learning the principles and has a good overview of the classes and building blocks of text search, but many of the sub-classes have changed since this edition was first published. Unless you are in a hurry to learn Lucene (I was, and it certainly helped) I would wait until the next edition comes out in September (2009).
