Ebook: Hijos de inmigrantes : el estudiante sanmarquino de historia

This book collects twenty-four testimonials from students of history of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. They were written, during 2016 and 2017, as part of the methodology and theory of history courses, taught by Manuel Burga Díaz, seconded by Carlos Paredes Hernández. In the stories, students relate their biographies and those of their past generations, describing the historical circumstances that their families and themselves faced during the second half of the twentieth century and the dawn of the twenty-first. Thus, they narrate their roots and uprooting, the onomastics used to baptize the offspring, the difficult conquest of the Lima area, the expectations of the capital and the illusions and disappointments that they must confront when asking: have we progressed?
