Would you like to learn a quick life lesson from a hermit crab? Hermit crabs live inside empty seashells. They carry their seashells everywhere they go like mobile homes. It’s a dangerous world out there for a hermit crab and their shell is what protects them from predators and sizzling hot sun. Eventually hermit crabs grow and their seashells become way too small for them. They start feeling extremely uncomfortable and stressed out. The only way for them to continue growing is to find a bigger home. So they go and search for a bigger seashell. When they find a bigger shell they have to overcome their fear and expose themselves to potentially deadly environment while they abandon their old home and move into the new one. Only then they can continue growing.

Unlike humans, hermit crabs don’t waste their lives away crammed into tiny shells, dwelling on their past, fearing their future while trying to manage their stress and anxiety using medication. Their primitive little brains work for them, not against them. They simply follow their survival instincts. They do what they have to do.

That uncomfortable feeling we all experience when we are not happy with our lives is something we are suppose to feel. It’s an indicator that something is wrong, It’s there to push us towards change. It’s there to help us overcome our fears and grow. Just like pain is a symptom of a broken bone, unhappiness is a symptom of our unfulfillment. Pain killers might temporarily alleviate the pain but as long as the bone remains broken, pain will keep on coming back. If we want to become truly happy with our lives we must start from the bottom and fix the underlying problems instead of focusing on alleviating the symptoms that make us feel miserable.

Humans have remarkable brains that kept our species alive using a wide range of complex mechanisms. Our brains instinctively made us run away from dangerous wild life before we could even begin to assess the danger. Our brains made us prefer certain types of food in order to keep our bodies healthy, before we even knew anything about nutrition. Our brains made us seek love and friendships and rewarded us with a good feeling when we did so in order to reinforce and promote such behaviour. Our brains still use the same mechanisms even though our society has changed dramatically in the last few hundred years. Our brains simply have not had the time to evolve.

Changing your life becomes easy once you learn how your brain and body actually works. This is why I decided to sum up years of research and write a more scientific, 30 page step by step guide on improving your life using actual scientific methods and studies. This guide will help you understand why you feel the way you feel. How motivation works. How simple changes can make a big impact on your mental and physical well-being. It will show how to make our brain mechanisms work for us. This guide will teach you how to get things done. It will teach you how to become healthier, less stressed, more focused, how to beat procrastination and take control of your life. Whichever path you take, this book will help you get there. This guide covers a wide range of subjects such as neurochemistry, history, genetics, psychology, nutrition, exercise, productivity and problem solving. It will teach you everything you need to know in order to succeed, from dopamine functionality to effectively scheduling your day, using easy to understand concepts.
