Ebook: Against Destiny

I am an advid reader of all books about the Soviet Gulag. But this one just didn't cut the mustard. The characters are one-dimensional, the dialogue is stilted, and the descriptions of the camp was like a cut and paste from Wikipedia. If you want to read the best books, try David Littel's "The Revolutionist," Alan Furst's "Night Soldier." This book is just too academic in all its verbiage.
