With the second volume, we continue to analyze challenges and opportunities for
doing business with information. Evolvements in business information processing
and management include divergent viewpoints—technological as well as business
and social.
Explicitly, starting with the chapter “Towards Project Documentation in Agile
Software Development Methods”, the author’s survey agile methodologies of
software development that reduce the amount of required documentation. As the
authors discover—the teams working with such projects cannot afford to com-
pletely abandon it, because resignation could lead to chaos and undermine the
whole enterprise. So, before and during the work on the project, some documen-
tation has to be created. The problem presented in the paper concerns the proposal
of project documentation templates according to the agile approach of software
development.
In the next chapter titled “Advanced Information Technologies and Techniques
for Healthcare Digital Transformation and Adoption in Ophthalmology”, acquiring
and processing a large number of patient data, enhanced communication with
patients as roles of advanced information technologies, and techniques that can be
adopted in healthcare digital transformation are discussed. The aim was to con-
tribute to a specific interdisciplinary research narrowed to a branch of medicine.
The research consists of several stages such as literature investigation, thematic
analysis, classification, questionnaire, and interviews.
