This book is devoted to the problem of cerebral ischaemia.
The authors present the modem conception of cerebral ischaemic damage
summing up the results of own clinical and experimental investigations, expe­
rience accumulated for decades as well as the achievements of native and
foreign neurological researches. Cellular, biochemical and molecular mecha­
nisms of brain infarction forming arc showed. Basic strategies of anti-ischae-
mic neuroprotection and therapeutic prevention of brain damage are dis­
cussed in the book.
