"spinoza ou le crepuscule de la servitude" by Andrè Tosel, describes the historical change from a theological -political phase to a scientific-political phase by transforming intelligent politicians and "chrétiens évangeliques" into a political party capable of interventing in the political-ideological sphere. La "grand ambition du siècle" (XVII) is the unification of the obedience to God - that is nothing but "l'amour de la puissance collective" of mankind. Spinoza realises in philosophy and in politics the possibility to get away the "anti-politisme chrètien" giving to this essential political needing the structure to live historically. Democracy as the best political "règime" where everybody should live according to his basic needings and according to a general and utilitarian law (not doing to the others what you would not receive from them, ec.). The "crepuscule de la servitude" is what others could define as the passage to the "civil society" where individuals live together no longer with "fear and hope", but with the aim to encrease the social commonwealth and technology.
