Ebook: Princ Musa i šejh Bedreddin
Author: Nedim Filipović
The book is a study of the crisis of feudal relations during the final phase of the Ottoman civil war (1402-13), and of the defeated plebeian uprising led by sheikh Bedreddin (1416). The distinguished Bosnian Ottomanist Nedim Filipović (1915-84) examines the short-lived administration of prince Musa in the Balkans (Rumelia) and argues that his bid for the throne involved an attempt to strengthen the state at the expense of the great lords. From this episode a more radical political project was born that rejected both social hierarchy and the Christian-Muslim antagonism that legitimised Ottoman conquests.
