For a beginner, this is a good place to start to understand the basic principles and practise of Nanophotonics.

When you actually need to do something technical in this field, you will need a far more detailed text, or the basic research papers themselves, of course. Some of these are referenced here. Other books with the same title have more of a theoretical basis, and will be far more useful in that respect.
