The author, Mohammad ibn Hendusnāh-e Nakhjavāni, who also compiled the Dastūr'ol-Kāteb 1359 (760 a.H.), is the son of the author of
the Tajareb' os-Salaf.The words in the dictionary are arranged first accordlng to their last letter, and then according to their first letter. Beside lexical information, the work contains a wealth of quotations from the older Persian poets.
