Abstract. The aim of the study is to apply system analysis to investigate kinetics of plasma renin activity after physiological and pharmacological stimulations. The experiment was carried out on 73 Wistar rats: controls, injected i.p. with 5.5% glucose and treated perorally with captopril 30 mg/kg b.w. Treatment with captopril and glcose corresponds to impulse function. The results are processed with computer program KORELIA. Dynamics characteristics of renin activity are estimated. Second derivative is used to make decisions about the presence of negative and positive feedback. The estimated dynamics characteristics demonstrate better quality of regulation after physiological stimulation.
