Depending on coating purpose, various materials, structures and processing methods are applied. Among the numerous modern chemical, electrochemical and physical methods and technologies to produce coatings, physical processes of evaporation and condensation of various materials in vacuum are certainly noteworthy. Condensation of the vapors of various materials in vacuum provides a unique complex of methods to produce both new materials and coatings with micro- and nanosized structure.
