Сайюд Гравенгидж. Письменность пре-ангкорского периода (на тайск. яз.).
The purpose of this research is to study the pre-Angkorian Scripts in the Khmer Inscriptions of the pre-Angkorian period (11—14 cen. B.E.) printed in Inscriptions du Cambodge publiees sous les auspicec de l'Academie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres. The major findings of this study are as follows: there are 33 consonants, 9 independent vowels, 11 vowels, number 0-9, some specific numbers and 3 diacritics. The general characteristics of the script forms are rather the same as the old script forms of South India during the Pallava Dynasty. There are some differences, but without an obvious evolution. There are two languages in the Khmer Inscriptions: old Khmer language and Sanskrit. Each word is composed of a consonant, a vowel and a diacritic according to the rule of old Khmer orthography.
