Topics that cover those selections include customs, daily life, economic, education, geographic, history, language, literature, political, religion, socio-cultural circumstances in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Students will be introduced to both simple and complex phrases of the language and its methods of expression and thought while gaining a basic understanding of the Uyghur nationality as a whole. Each selection is followed by a list of important grammatical suffixes, interesting words, notes on people and places, and various cutural, historical, and socio-political terms.A dictionary-style glossary at the end of the book consists approximately 3,000 words.
