This is one of a series of self-teaching textbooks initially prepared for the Armed Forces and now offered to the public. The text is designed to be used with a native speaker of Danish or with the accompanying recordings. The textbook is divided into two major sections, each consisting of five learning units and one unit for review. Each unit is centered around some practical aspect of daily life, and covers basic sentences, pronunciation practice, word study, grammar and conversational situations. Each unit concludes with a "finder list" of vocabulary introduced in the unit. The emphasis is on speaking rather than on reading or writing. The text concludes with a key to the exercises and tests used in the units.
