From the Author: Five Tips for Passing the O+M Exam
Author Michell Cottrell

How long should I plan to prepare for the O+M exam?
Assuming you have already earned the Green Associate credential, this book proposes a 10 week schedule. The more actual LEED project experience you have, the better chances for success on the exam as application is key!

Do I need to get another other study aids in addition to this book to help me study?
This book is a comprehensive resource to help you with the material tested on the exam. I would suggest utilizing online practice exams to help prepare you for the real format at the testing center.

What are the eligibility requirements to sit for the O+M exam?
Applicants are required to pass the Green Associate exam and have some sort of LEED project experience within the last 3 years in order to be eligible to sit for any of the LEED AP+ credentialing exams. The projects do not have to be LEED certified, but they are required to be registered. Applicants will also have to agree to the Disciplinary & Exam Appeals Policy and credential maintenance requirements.

What is the minimum passing score for the O+M exam?
There are 100 questions on the exam where a score of 170 or higher is required to pass. There is no rhyme or reason behind the points per question, so focus your attention to learning the material! You will have two hours for the exam. You are allowed to leave your testing station but the clock will not stop. Use your time wisely!

What other advice can you provide? When taking the exam, be sure to answer each question as you progress. You can flag any question you are unsure about and go back to it later. This way, should you run out of time, you still have an opportunity to get the credit for these questions. Note, any unanswered questions are marked incorrect and no credit will be awarded.
