This book is substantially an extensive investigation into a specific phenomenon in Biblical Hebrew syntax. Theology is involved as much as "der Anfang aller Exegese eben Grammatik ist" and a deepened understanding of syntax inevitably leads to new discernments of disputed passages in the Hebrew Bible. In this perspective, the term "periphery" as a designation of the place where Michel performs his analysis might be inappropriate. Linguistic analysis of Biblical Hebrew texts could be placed in the centre of theology as well.
