Ebook: Specification for Thermal Spray Feedstock - Solid and Composite Wire and Ceramic Rods

This Specification classifies solid and composite wires and ceramic rods for thermal spraying, based on their as-manufactured chemical composition. This includes requirements for standard sizes, marking, manufacturing, and packaging. Thermal spray users following this specification may decide in many, but not all, cases that a thermal spray wire or ceramic rod from one manufacturer is interchangeable with that from another. The classification tests permit identification of similar thermal spray wires and ceramic rods. This Specification makes use of both U.S. Customary Units and the International System of Units (SI).
